Hoyoung is a very strong 3-minute thief burst class with a distinct kit unlike any other. Its most notable features include precise movement with the Nimbus Cloud flying skill, various mobility tools like door-teleport, a flexible iframe, and a self-door skill. These tools allow Hoyoung to handle boss interactions that would otherwise be significantly harder—or even unanswerable—for other classes.

Why should I play Hoyoung?

Hoyoung boasts amazing aesthetics and a complete kit for both mobbing and bossing. While most classes can only lazy farm post-Janus/Erda Fountain, Hoyoung can start lazy farming much earlier and still enjoy great coverage thanks to its 2 - 3 extra summons that don’t require fragments to unlock.

In bossing, Hoyoung’s near-complete kit offers solid answers to many boss mechanics that other classes struggle with. Key highlights include:

  • Nimbus Cloud: Precise 360-degree movement that can air stall, making it great for dodging and repositioning.

  • Gate Teleport: Opens creative mobbing rotations and provides hazardous escapes.

  • Pseudo Teleport: A short-cooldown TP-like movement skill.

  • Flexible iframe: A variable-cooldown iframe that’s exceptionally versatile.

  • Movement tools: Flash jump, up jump, and flash jump/cloud reset mechanics for high mobility.

  • Burst Damage: Top-tier burst that thrives in both solo and party settings.

  • Darksight: On demand albeit for 1-2 seconds, serviceable for some hazards.

Whether you value aesthetics, mobbing performance, or bossing prowess, Hoyoung is an outlier in that it excels in all three. Most classes typically shine in just one or two areas, but Hoyoung truly has it all.
