Apparition is a V skill with both a passive and active effect, designed to automate Hoyoung’s element management and provide cooldown resets for key skills.
Triggers every 6 seconds while attacking, performing a special attack of an element you haven’t used yet (Heaven, Earth, Humanity).
This attack fills an unfilled combo orb, effectively completing combos for you.
Helps prevent DPM loss by reducing the need for manual comboing.
For 30 seconds, the passive effect is enhanced:
Special attack cooldown is reduced to 2 seconds.
Completing a full combo (all 3 orbs filled) resets the cooldown of one elemental skill:
Cudgel, Flames, or Tremor.
During the first season of Punch King, Shulk tested different ways to optimize Cudgel uptime. Through extensive trials, he discovered that structured skill alternation led to the highest damage output.
This insight laid the groundwork for the modern Apparition burst strategy, where ensuring Cudgel resets and maintaining FD bonuses became core principles of Hoyoung's optimal damage rotation.
